"Stuck with My Sister's Boyfriend" is the tenth episode in Season 1 of Stuck in the Middle. It aired on June 3, 2016, to 1.6 million viewers.[1]
Summary[]
When Rachel’s boyfriend Cuff decides to make himself at home in the Diaz house, Harley tries to find a way to get him out.
Plot[]
After an exhausting day of hard work at the Slushinator, all Harley wants is to come back home, get her secret stash of chicken and sit on the couch to watch TV. However, ever since school got out, Rachel's boyfriend, Cuff has been spending most of the time with Rachel in the Diaz house. He eats Harley's food and spends most of the time on the couch watching TV with Rachel. Rachel has even allowed Cuff to delete recordings of Rachel and Harley's favorite show, "Dance Dads" so that Cuff can watch Dumpster Jack on the show, "Man vs. Dumpster."
Harley can't take it anymore. She enlists Ethan to help get rid of Cuff. Ethan agrees because he's jealous that Lewie and Beast have more in common with Cuff due to their shared passion for garbage and gross stuff. Harley and Ethan try to make Cuff and Rachel break up, but with no success. So, they decide to make Cuff get a job. Cuff doesn't want a job, but Harley tells him that Rachel will dump him if he doesn't bring any income. She helps write a resume for Cuff but she's disappointed when Tom hires Cuff to work at his Bait & Bite store. Most of Cuff's work involves taking out the garbage, which he loves.
Cuff becomes too obsessed with his work to even spare any time for Rachel. So, Rachel breaks up with him but becomes very depressed about it. Harley is happy about the breakup at first but when she finds Rachel crying on the couch, she realizes that she has to do the right thing: get them back together. She tries to get Cuff to quit or get fired from his job so that he can go back to Rachel.
Ultimately, Harley gives up her freedom to make Rachel happy.
