Stuck in the Middle was an American single-camera sitcom developed for Disney Channel, written and executive produced by Linda Videtti Figueiredo. The series stars Jenna Ortega as Harley Diaz.

The show was picked up for a second season on June 15, 2016. 

On August 31, 2017, Disney Channel renewed the show for a third season. On March 30, 2018, Disney Channel announced that Season 3 will be the final season.[1]  The series finale aired on July 23, 2018.


Premise

Set in Massachusetts, in the fictional town of Marshport; Told from Harley’s point of view, the slice of life stories find humor in everyday life as this middle child devises creative ways to cope with – and stand out – in her family’s busy suburban Massachusetts household. The Diaz parents, Suzy and Tom, also have six other kids: Rachel the self-involved eldest; Georgie, a basketball-playing teen; Ethan, Harley’s closest ally; invincible and indestructible twins Lewie and “Beast”; and the strong-willed youngest sibling, Daphne.[2]

  • The show was originally called "Stuck in the Middle With You."
  • This show is similar to The Loud House, Modern Family.The Thundermans and the 1950 and 2003 film Cheaper by the Dozen.
  • This is the 11th Disney Channel Original Series to be a single camera series, preceded after Flash Forward, The Famous Jett Jackson, So Weird, The Jersey, Even Stevens, In a Heartbeat, Lizzie McGuire, Phil of the Future, Life with Derek, Jonas, and My Babysitter's a Vampire.
  • This is Disney Channels' second sitcom centering around a Hispanic/Latino family, the first being Wizards of Waverly Place (2007-2012).[3]
