Sophie Adams is a character in Stuck in the Middle. She becomes Harley Diaz's new friend after Ellie Peters leaves Marshport High School.

Personality[]
Sophie is a lot like Harley in many ways. She is very smart and creative, which makes her instantly bond with Harley over their science projects. She is sweet and kind but can also be snarky at times as seen in her initial rough exchange with Harley. She is friendly and offers Harley a Sour Bear even before they know each other. Sophie is obsessed with Sour Bears.
Biography[]
After moving to Marshport with her family, Sophie enrolls at Marshport High School. This is where she meets Harley while working on their projects for Marshport Extreme Science Games. After accidentally ruining each other's projects and after the awkwardness of running to each other, Sophie and Harley agree to team up for the project.
Sophie comes over to Harley's house for the project because Sophie's family is still moving in. This forces Harley to come up with creative ways to keep her family from Sophie. Unfortunately, Sophie runs into Ethan on her way out. This leads to a crush and eventually dating. Harley knows that Ethan has trouble keeping girls because he's not committed. Since Harley doesn't want to lose Sophie, she pushes Ethan to keep the relationship going. Eventually, she starts sending gifts to Sophie on behalf of Ethan.
On the day of the Extreme Science Games, Sophie is publicly humiliated by a "hip hop" Einstein hired by Harley as a gift from Ethan. To make things worse, the watermelon for their science project is accidentally eaten. She gives up on the project and breaks up with Harley. But Harley wins her back by catapulting herself instead of the watermelon.
Despite losing the golden beaker trophy, Sophie and Harley are glad to have won a bigger prize - each other.
