A sound of ripping paper is audible as several plastic baggies of popcorn and assorted candies fall to the floor, from the torn bag conspicuously sticking out from under her vest. Deciding on the latest horror film, she bought her ticket and bought a beverage from the concession counter. She entered the assigned theater early, and selecting an aisle seat, took off her coat and draped it over the empty spot next to her. Placing her drink in the cup holder, she sat down, and settled her purse in her lap, and awaited the show to start. As she sat, the antics of the apparent familial group that claimed the front row, played out before her. She became indirectly involved when their mother was making her way down the stairs loaded with drinks and snacks in her arms. Suddenly, two young screaming boys sprung up unexpectedly, from nearby seats. That surprised their mother so much that she dropped everything she was carrying sending a shower of popcorn everywhere--some of which landed on the woman's head. As the woman brushed the loose kernels off of her hair and clothing, the mother instructed her kids to salvage as much fallen popcorn as they could, and made her way out of the theater, without offering any kind of apology for what had just happened. The mother eventually returned with more snacks, along with the rest of her family group, the last of which, was a teen girl moving backwards down the steps, who predictably, fell down after passing the woman's aisle. However, after the film began, it became evident that the subject matter was too mature for the younger members of the group, causing the disruptive family to depart, allowing the rest of the theater patrons to enjoy the film.

Harley offered a reassuring grin, but despite the delay, still claimed everything was normal. While muttering at it, Harley also struck the uncooperative contraption a few times. But as a result of Harley's actions, a bluish stream of diluted slushy syrup spewed from the defiant device directly at the walk-in window, and into the Patron's face. Sputtering, the man reached out and grabbed a paper napkin to wipe at his face. Mischa[]
Mischa was a resident of New York City, New York that was a Television Producer for the Reality TV show Girl Power. Along with her camera operator, Ken, she travels to Marshport, Massachusetts to film a segment of the show spotlighting teen female inventor, Harley Diaz. She and Ken arrive at the Diaz household and are met by Harley and her mother, Suzy. They begin shooting Harley as she introduces her latest invention, a voice-activated robotic vacuum cleaner, she dubs the "Pick-Me-Up," which injects fun into doing chores. The device not only plays music so one can dance while cleaning, but also has a built-in camera to catch one's cool moves. However, Harley grows self-conscious, as she confesses, she's not used to dancing in public. Mischa assures the nervous girl she is doing great, claiming that Harley puts the "Pow" in "Girl Power." Liking the turn of phrase, she tells Ken to make note of that for later. As Harley continues, the front door abruptly opens, and a man with two small boys enter. Harley's father, Tom. explains that he forgot his wallet while on the way to the mall, while twin siblings Lewie and Beast. decry that their mother removed the "pee boot" from the car, and they have been prohibited from using the bushes as long as the camera crew are on the premises. As Suzy claims ignorance, Beast declares that he has found the missing piece of soiled footwear and lifts it aloft in triumph. Suzy instructs her kids to use the bathroom. An older teen girl than arrives identifying herself as Rachel and drops her internet contacts. She is followed by the rest of the Diaz kids, teens Ethan and Georgie, and the youngest child, Daphne. Mischa is intrigued that Harley did not mention that she had such a large family. Harley claims that it is weird she did not and attempts to rush her siblings out of the house. Daphne explains they are going to shop for new clothes for school. She claims to have crushed Kindergarten, but had no idea that school continued into First Grade. Mischa finds the smallest Diaz cute and wants to pinch her cheeks, but the tiny girl warns against that action if the woman values her fingers. Georgie agrees, opining that Daphne is part ferret. Harley tries to laugh over how funny her sisters are, but still insists they leave. Harley then continues on about the five settings her invention has but is cut off by her dad finding his extra car key. Georgie advises hanging on to it to avoid another "Key Incident." Mischa is eager to hear the details of that story. Harley tries to gloss over the event, but Ethan reveals the hilarious story of their dad looking for his car key while the twins were playing with metal detectors in the backyard. Lewie detects something metallic in Beast's stomach, but then their dad finds the missing key next to his foot. 48 hours later, it is discovered that Beast swallowed a filling. Mischa mulls over the fact that the Diaz family has seven kids and presumes the parents have the hands full, but still maintain an organized household. Suzy presents that as normal, but then tells Georgie not to open the pantry door. As the hungry teen just wants a snack, she is buried by the avalanche of random items which are unleashed as the door opens. Suzy innocently asks how those items could have gotten in there, as she rushes over to her fallen daughter, who claims she is fine. Harley suggests finishing her interview elsewhere, but Mischa, tells Ken they need to talk in private, and the pair leave the Diaz home. Once outside, Mischa outlines to Ken the potential reality show she envisions revolving around the Diaz family. When the pair return only Harley and her parents are around, Mischa announces in various ways that Harley's segment is cancelled, causing a dismayed Harley to note that she is a failure in multiple languages. However, Mischa claims she is prepared to offer the Diaz family a different opportunity. Mischa reveals that the network's top reality series, Quincy's Quintuplets has just been cancelled in a big scandal as it was discovered the fraudulent family was really only a set of triplets with two cousins. Harley notes that explains why two of the kids on the show kept calling their mom "Aunt Jess." Mischa states that both she and Ken envision the Diazes as possible, replacements, turning towards where her cameraman is standing by the staircase banister offering a thumbs up, the producer proposes a show featuring the entire family entitled The Diaz of Our Lives: Nine Times the Fabulous. Harley is dubious of the concept and rejects the idea. But Mischa counters that the Diazes are real, and the public loves real, insisting that everyone will want to be a Diaz. Harley states that there are times when she struggles to even want to be a Diaz, herself. Mischa points out that Girl Power would have been only one chance to feature her inventions, but this new series could highlight her inventions in every episode, making Harley a girl inventor hero. A convinced Harley states she already fills out the first two qualifiers and is eager to let the fans determine the third and gives her approval to the idea. However, the Diaz parents immediately arise from the couch and shoot down the project. Mischa claims to understand their refusal, noting that she thought the potential financial benefits would have come in handy with the prospect of seven weddings, seven college funds, and a possible Hawaiian retirement home. The lure of such a potential windfall wins parental support for the project. To celebrate the occasion, Harley has her invention play dance music and starts to dance but is soon joined by her parents. The sight leads Harley to state that there should be no dancing on the show, which Mischa quickly agrees should be implemented. After a modicum of preproduction, including clearing out space in the house to set up a "confessional" area, and having all necessary legal permissions acquired and notarized, filming was set up in the Diaz household with recording equipment everywhere in the house. Production on the series begins by shooting a breakfast scene in the kitchen. Harley nearly runs into Ken carrying his camera, and apologizes, but Mischa standing off-camera in the laundry area, states she can't use that footage, and politely insists that Ken should not be spoken to during filming. A glammed-up Rachel then appears, telling her sister to act as if there were no cameras present, as she saunters away. Tom Diaz hypothetically asks if there was a place where one could escape the cameras, and Mischa confirms there are none in the bathrooms. He then states that is where he is going to spend his time, but Harley sarcastically implies that would hardly be new for her dad. He turns to address, Ken, asking not to look like a fool on camera. Once again, Mischa repeats her request not to speak to the cameraman. Suzy then claims she has no fear of the cameras, as she is merely living her regular life with grace and style. The Diaz twins then enter the kitchen, suspecting their mother was going to court, as they notice she was wearing her "speeding-ticket dress." Suzy denies the assertion, but asks Ken to erase the last few minutes, causing Mischa to ask the Diazes for a third time not to talk to Ken. During a failed attempt to establish Daphne's portion of the series, as the young girl declares "Stranger danger" and tells Ken to go away when he knocks on the door of her playhouse, Mischa has to repeat her instruction not to speak to the cameraman. Mischa then shoots a segment upstairs focusing on Harley and her inventions. In her bedroom, Harley once again demonstrates the Pick-Me-Up. Mischa claims the science stuff is "fab," but explains the girls of the audience want "totes fab." Harley says she could adopt "game show hands" in her presentation and demonstrates for the producer. Mischa insists that Harley needs to "jooj it up." Harley agrees, but soon admits she has no idea what "jooj" actually means. Mischa defines the word as adding a bit of glam. The producer maintains a vacuum is boring and suggests adding the capacity of being a makeup caddy to the invention. Harley question combing makeup with a device that picks up her dad's toe clippings from the floor. Mischa advises the girl not to overthink things, and states that to get other girls interested in inventing Harley needs to speak their language. Harley reasons that she has to learn how to speak jooj. Mischa affirms that Harley was smart, much to the girl's happiness. The woman asks Harley if they can integrate Daphne into her part of the show, as Mischa suspects based on their prior interaction, that Daphne will not be the breakout star they had anticipated. Harley and Daphne are then prepped for a confessional segment. The sisters were seated with Deathnee on a white leather couch, with large throw pillows. A false wall of blue light panels had been erected behind the couch to finish the set. Off-camera, Mischa explains the concept of a confessional scene, to talk to the camera and share their inner thoughts with the audience. Daphne retorts that the older woman already knows what she's thinking. Mischa suggests that her little friend might have something to say, and the younger girl observes that the producer was not very sharp. Mischa moves on to Harley, who expresses doubts on the concept. Mischa tries next with the twins, who insists on recalling incidents from their early childhood, instead of talking about the present, as they claim their parents were too tired from dealing with their elder siblings to take videos from their past. and Lewie and Beast wanted to make sure their childhood memories were recorded before they slipped away, and they wanted footage of themselves to show their own kids one day, such as their best arm farts. The other Diaz sisters, Rachel and Georgie were next on the couch. Georgie tries to talk about her sports themed aspirations for community service, whereas Rachel, who appears to be an avid watcher of Realty TV, was eager to spill any Diaz family secrets she could to "win" the show, such as her mother's secret recipe meatballs were actually store-bought--from a hardware store. Having felt the Diaz twins' confessional storylines had run had their course, Mischa turned to the last Diaz sibling, Ethan, and had Ken shot footage of the teen from his own bedroom. The teen tells the pair that he wants to perform a song he wrote about changing from a boy to a man, called "Dodgeball." However, Mischa cuts him off before he can start, suggesting that may not be the best way to start Ethan's musical career with the best musical talent available. When all the Diaz boys gather together on the confessional couch, Ethan appears dubious. Lewie states he wants to play drums, while Beast want to play arm farts. Lewie then asks it they can have two arm fart artists. Mischa then meets with Harley to confer with the girl over the new direction. her role on the show was taking. Mischa approves of the cosmetic changes Harley made to her robotic vacuum cleaner and subtly implies the young female fans will love the new look of the renamed "Pretty-Go-Round." Harley notices the name alteration and states it does not describe its function at all. but Mischa claims she has research which proved the new name tested better, with their projected demographics. As a scientist, Harley declares she cannot argue with scientific research. Mischa suspects the new appearance of the invention may steal focus from Harley herself. She suggests the Pretty Go Round no longer fits the image Harley projects. She hands the teen inventor a new script for when she presents her improved vacuum in her new look. Harley asks what "new look?" Mischa hands Harley a new set of clothing to wear on camera, a shiny completely pink outfit with a matching bow for her hair. Leaving Harley to try on her new wardrobe, the producer turns her attention back to the Diaz brothers. Dressing the three in matching outfits, including vests and hats, she names the trio, "Buenos Three-Az." She has the group shoot a music video in the living room. However, Ethan does not take the news well, that Mischa envisions them as background singers for an animated raccoon, and was not particularly thrilled to see the over-sized cutout she had made of the projected star of the group. In fact, she dismisses the Diaz brothers, explaining she wants Ken to shoot footage of just the cardboard rodent by itself.
Mischa was portrayed by Kim Shaw.

Leo[]
Leo was a parakeet that served as a support animal for Coach Woods of Marshport High School, as the continual losses of her Terrier basketball team caused her to seek out additional emotional support. When the coach had to leave Marshport for a time, she chose a member of her team, Georgie Diaz, to watch after Leo during her absence. While at the Diaz home, despite Georgie's best efforts, Leo does pick up new words in his vocabulary when encountering her mom, Suzy, and her sister, Rachel. She tries to undo the damage by reading polite phrases out loud to Leo from a book on etiquette, with positive results. Because Leo does not like being alone, Georgie feels compelled to take Leo to Tom's Bait & Bite while filming a commercial for the store and uses Leo as part of a pirate costume. When the commercial's director, Georgie's brother, Ethan, orders Leo off the set, her sister, Harley volunteers to watch Leo. However, Ethan eventually relents, and allows Leo to be in the final sequence. which consisted of employing a special rig, created by Harley, to film a boom shot featuring the entire family grouped together. Unfortunately, when Rachel and Suzy receive a phone alert announcing a second chance of purchasing Adele concert tickets, their excitement spooks Leo, and he flies upward into the rafters exclaiming "Doody Diaz!" Ironically Leo's comment would prove to be prescient, as some of the bird's own "doody" does indeed plop upon Harley's shoulder, literally marking her as "Doody Diaz." But Leo's flight causes some suspended merchandise to fall to the floor, ruining the shot and causing Ethan to quit the entire project. Eventually, Georgie manages to recover Leo, and after she and the rest of the Diaz family arrive home, an elated Ethan reveals he has something to show everyone on the living room television. He premieres a commercial edited from previous footage of the family along with added special effects and narration provided by Ethan, himself. The family is enthusiastic by the results and Tom suggests fruit cups all around to celebrate. Returning from the kitchen with cups for Harley and Ethan, Georgie gets a call from Coach Woods, stating she is currently on her way to the Diaz house to pick up her pet bird. Ethan asks his sister to hit him with a fruit cup, but Leo only repeats "Georgie hit me." Stuck in the School Photo[]
Chet[]
Chet was a resident of Marshport, Massachusetts that was a cafeteria server at Marshport High School. On the Friday morning that happened to coincide with school picture day, he was in the cafeteria putting up laminated announcements proclaiming that after an absence of several months, sloppy joes were going to be available again for lunch service. He had placed one of the papers on the chalkboard which displayed the daily lunch menu and was about to attach it in place, when a student that Chet would recall as "the weird floppy haired kid with the petition" {demanding the return of sloppy joes as a menu item}, excitedly approached and leaned his head against the plastic encased sheet of paper. As Chet gave the interloper a confused glare, the now vindicated teen snatched the notice off the wall and walked away with it. Chet put another one up in its place and continued to prepare for the day's upcoming lunch rush. During lunch service, Georgie Diaz approaches the counter and asks Chet to think carefully and tell her what was served for lunch in the cafeteria that previous Friday. Chet answers absolutely that it was fish and chips, adding he would stake his life on that conclusion. However, when the girl states she thought it had been meatball subs, Chet instantly backpedals on his previous stance, and confirms that she was right. She then asks for another meatball sub, but Chet, notes that the cafeteria is serving sloppy joes that day, stating that the guy with the petition to restore that particular food item to the menu had finally got what he wanted. Georgie muses aloud that "sloppy joes are meatball's messy cousin," and realizes that both are composed of the basic building blocks of meat and buns. She then makes the elaborate request that Chet ball up some sloppy joe meat, plop it into a bun and then kind of smush the bun to form a longer shape. Warily glancing around him, Chet then reveals to Georgie that he has already been warned about squeezing the food and asserts he can't do it. However, Georgie explains she is under the pressure of trying to establish a winning streak, and insists she is not moving until she gets something resembling a meatball sub. Georgie adds that since she spent a lot of time bench warming during her basketball games, she knows how to wait. Perplexed, Chet looks down at the sloppy joe ingredients in the serving trays below to ponder how he should handle the situation. Ultimately, Chet decides to grant Georgie's wish, and as surreptitiously as possible, quickly constructs a facsimile of a meatball sub. He places the results on a plastic lunch tray and sets it in front of Georgie and urges her to take her "Franken-sub," and go before one of his superiors notice his indiscretion and he gets written up again. Georgie grabs her tray, but then asks Chet if he can recall where in the cafeteria, she sat down last Friday. Chet claims all he can remember about that day was that some idiot spilled a meatball sub which he had to clean up, and in the process, got the residue all over his pants. As a heads up, he advises the girl not to go to a dog park with meatball pants--unless she wants to leave the place with just a waistband. Georgie recalls that she was the idiot who spilled the sub and is confident that she can humiliate herself in the exact same way again. Chet retorts that he has every reason to believe she can, as Georgie turns away, finally allowing him to serve the next student in line. A few minutes later, history does indeed repeat itself, as Georgie spills her lunch on another girl. The incident eventually leads to a food fight erupting among the students in the cafeteria, and Chet, along with a female fellow server, feels compelled to duck under the lunch counter for cover.
Chet was portrayed by Zach Timson.

Miles[]
Miles was a teen resident of Marshport, Massachusetts that was a student at Marshport High School. On the morning of school picture day, before classes, Miles was sitting in the school cafeteria writing something down in a notebook. Georgie Diaz then approached Miles to ask if he remembered laughing at her the previous Friday, when he saw a strip of toilet paper being dragged by her shoe. Miles admitted that he really didn't recall the incident. The girl confirmed that was exactly what he did, and raising her right foot to rest atop a nearby chair, revealed that her ankle currently had a strip of tissue paper loosely tied around it, and advised him to "Yuck it up." Miles could only glance at her in confusion, but Georgie merely smiled sweetly back at him in response, until he acceded to her request. Later at lunch, Miles joined the line of students at the counter, picked out an apple and had a (newly restored to the school menu) sloppy joe placed on his tray and went to find a spot at a table to sit down. As Miles ate, Georgie literally stumbled into view causing the contents of her tray to fly into the air and splatter upon Rachel, her own older sister. An apologetic Georgie turns away to find napkins to clean up the mess, as her still stunned sister exclaims "Gross!" The next thing Miles knows, he feels a glob of something hit his body. Furiously rising out of his chair, Miles looks around, demanding to know who targeted him. Ethan Diaz suddenly appears holding his arms out in a placating manner, offering an apology while clarifying it was "an accidental flick," and asks all the students in the cafeteria to calm down. However, Miles had grown far too irate to listen to the other teen, wearing what appeared to be a white plastic bib with a crossed fork and knife emblazoned upon it. Quickly gathering up the paper tray from the cafeteria table containing the remainder of his sloppy joe, he balances it in his hand with the clear intention to launch it as a projectile. With an enthusiastic expression across his face, Miles loudly declares the commencement of a "Food Fight!"
Miles was portrayed by Bentley Green.
Trivia[]
- Although Miles clearly witnessed the entire incident involving Georgie spilling her lunch on Rachel, as it happened directly in front of him, he claimed not to know who flicked sloppy joe meat on him.
- As a result of the food fight Miles started, sloppy joes were once again banned at the Marshport High School cafeteria.
- Despite being the instigator of the food fight, Miles was not seen serving detention along with the Diaz siblings and Ellie after school.
Classmate[]
The Classmate was a teen resident of Marshport, Massachusetts that was a student at Marshport High School. On school picture day, Mr. Delorco was subbing in for the regular Math teacher. During the class, as the substitute lectured about the algebraic quadratic formula, Georgie Diaz abruptly enters the class asking to speak with her sister, Harley. Mr. Delorco refuses the request and turns back to the whiteboard to continue the lesson. However, Georgie does not leave, and instead crawls across the floor to secretly converse with her sister and their neighbor Ellie Peters. The Classmate casually overhears the trio of girls talking behind him, but when Harley and Ellie reveal they are currently pretending to be each other, he feels compelled to briefly glance back at them, before swiftly raising up his left arm in the air in an attempt to catch Mr. Delorco's attention. Harley then addresses him in a low voice, stating she is indeed "Ellie" and pointing directly at Ellie insists that is her best friend "Harley," who loves rewarding her non-blabby friends with free slushies from her Slushy Shack. Nodding that he understood the implied bribe, the bespectacled student lowers his hand. Mr. Delorco then detects Georgie on the floor, and as the teacher strides forward, the Classmate turns to watch as the older man assigns detention after school, for the intruder which Georgie eagerly accepts. The Classmate has Science class next with Harley and Ellie, and because Mrs. Parsons got hit in the nose with a door, Mr. Delorco takes over that class as well. When the substitute teacher states he hopes Ellie Peters has learned a lesson about doors and how they open, the Classmate and several others turn back to look at her. Mr. Delorco then calls for Ellie Peters, when the girl finally responds, he reminds her that Mrs. Parsons scheduled her to make her science presentation that day. The girl asks to be reminded what the name of her presentation was, and the teacher obliges reciting "Bird Calls: The Sweet Song of Nature." When the girl makes her way to the front of the room and identifies herself as Ellie Peters, the classmate raises his left arm in the air. Staring directly in the eyes of the teen. Ellie states thar her friend Harley will give a slushy and a soft pretzel to those who will listen to the presentation without comment. With a knowing nod of acknowledgement, the Classmate gradually lowers his hand back down. Mr. Delorco states the class has to watch a 20-minute film on mitochondria, urging Ellie to make her bird calls. Noting that bird calls are the calls which come from birds, Ellie adds that they are our winged friends from the Great Blue Yonder. The teacher warns that the procrastinating student has five seconds before he starts the film, and her presentation receives a "D." The girl begins flapping her arms like wings and hopping around, shrilling the names of birds such as "seagull," "crow", and "cardinal." The teacher doubts the authenticity of the "bird calls," however, an actual bird then flies into the classroom and pecks on his tuna sandwich. But as it is merely a pigeon, Mr. Delorco only allows half credit and tells the girl she owes him a new sandwich. As school ends for the day, the Classmate witnesses Harley Diaz declare her true identity, as she tossed a trash can down a school hallway in front of Mr. Delorco.

He spent the day taking photos of the various students in a specially closed off section of the school hallway serving as a makeshift studio. One strange incident occurred while he was taking student pictures. As Georgie Diaz posed with a smile, it was announced that the basketball game scheduled for that afternoon had been cancelled, that news caused the girl to ball up her fists and scream, with obvious frustration "No!" She then collapsed to the floor, fully conscious, yet determined to simply lay inert on the floor, causing a few of her classmates to gingerly step around Georgie's fallen form to get their own pictures taken, until the stricken girl felt like getting up. He was still taking student photos as classes ended for the day. When Harley Diaz came up on his schedule of students, he had to call out the name four separate times before a young teen girl came in and sat on the stool to pose for her photo. She also stood nearby as the next person on the list, Ellie Peters, had her picture taken, and the pair of apparent friends walked away together. The photographer continued on with his work until he finished his assignment.

The teen explains he was taking a character workshop for screenwriting, and claims he was reading the subtext he was sensing from the man and filling out his backstory. The teen asks if his guesses were right. The man states if they will let him stay, he will confirm the kid's theories. The mother agrees but tells the Customer to hurry up and not to select anything bigger than he could carry, as she was not going to strap a canoe on some car roof, when she still had to prepare a big dinner for her own family.
The Customer was portrayed by Paul Goetz.

Chaz "The Mic Man"[]
Chaz "The Mic Man" was a resident of Marshport, Massachusetts that was a radio disc jockey for Classic Rock Station AM 102.2. Over a decade before, Chaz had left a message on the answering machine of Tom Diaz, revealing that the listener had won the station giveaway contest for the vehicle used in the popular television series Crimson Justice, the Crimson Coupe. However, as no response to the station was ever made, Chaz had to draw another entry and awarded the car to that lucky person. Over fourteen years later, Chaz, continuing to use "The Mic Man" moniker, was still a DJ at Classic Rock Station AM 102.2. One afternoon while he was "spinning the classics when you are stuck in traffic," he asks the radio audience to hit him up for any requests and tosses in a horn sound effect for good measure. The Mic Man answers the request line, and a female voice asks if he remembers a talking car he gave away 15 years ago. Confused, Chaz asks if that was a song. The voice states it was a question. The DJ points out it was a request line. The girl on the line agrees, as she as was requesting information on the car. Chaz then cuts her off. He plays his prerecorded station ident before answering the next call of the request line. After Chaz asks what he can play for the caller, the same female voice from before, asks for anything by Ed Sheeran, and was preparing to ask another question when Chaz cut her off again. The DJ implores his audience to call in with their favorites. The next call he answers was a female voice with an exaggerated British accent, that politely asks for information on an "auto-wheelie." After a prolonged pause, The Mic Man states he needs a song from her. She replies, "Fish and Chips from Strawberry Bruce." Chaz notes that a lot of weirdos were out there. He hears a tapping at the studio window and sees a brown-haired teen girl trying to attract his attention by waving at him. And adds they were in with him as well. He tells the audience to listen the super song hit currently playing and states the Mic Man would be right back. Cutting off his feed, Chaz removes his headphones and stops out of the booth to ask the pair of teen girls outside what they thought they were doing. The shorter girl asks if Chaz can tell them anything about who won the Crimson Coupe 15 years ago. Chaz seemingly tries to remember the Crimson Coupe, bringing his hand to his mouth as if recalling it was won by a guy named... "Are you kidding me?" He adds how could they expect him to remember that. At that he excuses himself, claiming he only has three and a half minutes to eat his meatball grinder, and as Chaz goes off to retrieve his lunch, notes to himself that he should have picked a longer song to play. Walking back to the studio with a meatball sandwich in his hand, Chaz discovers the girls have hijacked his booth and were broadcasting live on his airwaves. The taller girl moves to shut door to keep Chaz out. The man rushes forward, but not before she accomplishes her goal. Chaz grabs the door handle and twists, but the girl uses her leverage to keep the door shut. He places his tin foil wrapped sandwich down on a nearby table and uses both hands in his efforts to get the door open. Chaz was successful and briefly opened the door slightly, but the girl pushed the door shut with a yelp. As Chaz struggles to get inside his studio, he hears the other girl asking the listeners in the audience for any information on the famous Crimson Coupe from Crimson Justice, that the radio station gave away 15 years ago. Every time Chaz managed to open the studio door, his female opponent on the other side would shut it again. Ultimately, their efforts put such a strain on the door that he felt the mechanism within break, and Chaz fell backwards on his back on the carpeted floor with his half of the door handle in his hand. Using the table to get on his knees to peer into the studio, The Disc Jockey hears the taller girl apologize for the "oopsie daisies" in a fake British accent, while adding to "mind the gap." Chaz can only lift up the door handle above his head, before shaking his head disgustedly at the item before lowering it down. A little later, when the girls finally allow Chaz back into his studio, he scolds them, stating that their stunt could have gotten him in big trouble with the station manager, but fortunately for him, a computer based in Rhode Island had replaced the position two years before. He then begins to guide the girls out of the studio. The smaller girl notes with a robot boss and a talking car, they have a lot in common and asks Chaz not to throw them out, while her companion adopts her false accent, and claims not to know who the other girl was. At thar point, a call comes in on the request line. Chaz sits down, puts on his headphones, and eagerly answers the call. The DJ identifies the station as a place where lunches wee short, and glancing at the pair behind him, noted that his patience even shorter. Stating that they are on air with the Mic Man, he asks who was on the line. The voice of an older woman replies that she was calling about the Crimson Coupe. Clearly irritated, Chaz slowly turns around to glare at the two teen girls behind him. The younger girl promises, that if he lets them talk to the caller, they will leave and never come back. The tired DJ declares that was the best request he had heard all day. Turning back to the microphone, Chaz The Mic Man, encouragers the woman to reveal whatever information about the Crimson Coupe she has to share.
Chaz "The Mic Man" was portrayed by Shane Hartline.
Trivia,[]
- The role was credited as "Chaz."
- Unknown to Chaz, the reason why Tom Diaz never replied to the call was due to the fact that, at the time Tom was completely preoccupied by the flurry of activity surrounding the birth of his fourth child, Harley. Thus, several years would pass until Tom would even discover the message existed.
Ruby[]
Ruby was an older resident of Marshport, Massachusetts. Over fourteen years before, her son had won the famous Crimson Coupe from the Crimson Justice television series, in a radio giveaway contest, but in the ensuing years, he gradually lost interest in the car, and in recent times, he had completely abandoned the vehicle, leaving it languishing unused, buried in his mother's backyard open-air carport. However, one day, while listening to Classic Rock Station AM 102.2, Ruby heard a female voice, identifying herself as Harley Diaz, asking for any current information on that very vehicle and decided to call into the station. Her call was answered by Chaz "The Mic Man," who, after a pause, let her talk to the Diaz girl. Later that same afternoon, the Diaz sisters arrive at Ruby's home, and as she leads the girls into her fenced backyard, the older woman explains how her son won the car but eventually lost interest in it and moved away. Harley states getting the chance to actually drive the Crimson Coupe would change her dad's life. Ruby was surprised by the fact that the girls only wanted their dad to drive the Crimson Coupe, when she thought they wanted to buy it for him. Harley's sister seemed surprised the car was for sale, and wondered if Ruby should contact her son about the car. Ruby retorts that he didn't bother to check with her after she broke her hip the previous winter. She maintains that the car was only taking up space. With a pointed finger, she offers the Crimson Coupe to the girls for $300. After a brief discussion, the Diaz girls tell Ruby they would be right back and exit through the red wooden gate. Sometime later that afternoon, the Diaz girls return to Ruby's backyard. Harley apologizes for taking so long, as the bank was farther away than she thought. She then hands the older woman $300 in cash. Georgie adds a brochure for senior savings plans, noting the woman on the cover was enjoying a cruise with her dog. Taking the pamphlet, Ruby states it was thoughtful to bring it to her. Producing the keys to the Crimson Coupe, she dangles them in front of the girls, and states the Crimson Coupe was theirs. Harley takes the keys and asks where the car was. Ruby rolls away one of her garbage bins to reveal the front end of the Crimson Coupe buried under a mountain of various objects in what was revealed to be an open-air carport.
Ruby was portrayed by Brenda Ballard.
Trivia[]
- Apparently, after receiving $300 in cash, Ruby was not interested in the 10% discount at Tom's Bait & Bite Harley offered as a reward for information on the Crimson Coupe,
- It was not made certain if Ruby was aware that the Crimson Coupe did not function properly.
- Brenda Ballard also played "Bernice" in the Seaford, We Have a Problem episode of Kickin' It.
Stuck in Harley's Quinceañera[]
Sales Lady []
The Sales Lady was a resident of Marshport, Massachusetts, that was a sales representative for Pour La Fête, an upscale dress shop. One afternoon a harried man, accompanied by an anxious teen, who apparently was his son, entered the shop claiming there was a specific garment waiting for them to pick up under the name of "Diaz." However, as she had no inkling of such an order, she informed them that no such dress was on the rack for reserved garments. However, the man questioned her statement, and pulling out a crumbled piece of paper from a pocket, insisted they were supposed to speak with someone from the shop named "Fluoride." At that point, the sales lady turned away from the frazzled pair to return behind the counter. By the time she reaches the register, the man corrects himself by stating the name, "Monique," as he moves forward to follow her. Repeating the name of her co-worker, the woman surmises the pair were the party that missed a scheduled appointment from an hour before, and reveals that in the interim, as her colleague had other business elsewhere, Monique had already left the shop for the day. The man explained the reason that they were not at the appointment on time, was due to their car having been towed away, forcing the pair to walk two miles to the impound lot in order to recover the vehicle. The lady supposed that the dress they were looking for had likely been sent to the back-room area of the store and subsequently restocked. She then asked them if they knew what the gown looked like. The father tells his son to call someone named "Rachel," who apparently designed the garment to the intended wearer's specific ideal of the perfect dress. His son already has his phone out, but states he is only getting voicemail. At this point, Mr. Diaz tells his son they should be able to handle the situation of identifying the dress themselves. Turning towards the Sales Lady, he asks where in the store a restocked item would be taken. She escorts them to the backroom where thousands of plastic enclosed gowns hang upon countless racks. After positioning her hands out with pointing fingers at a large angle to encompass the entirety of the vast area, the Sales Lady turns away, leaving the pair of befuddled, clearly overmatched Diaz males to begin their impossible search, as she resumes her place at the front of the store.
The Sales Lady was portrayed by Kristin Dattilo.
Trivia[]
- Pour La Fête is a French phrase meaning "for the party."
- The Diaz men returned to Pour La Fête later that day with a detailed image of the actual garment they were supposed to pick up originally, sent from the dress designer. After another search of the stock room, they exchanged the garish gown they had previously selected on their own, for the correct one.
